2025-26 Season is here!

Alright! I had been working on this site really intensely a few years ago, then got a job that demanded a lot of my time – including weekends, so the site took a backseat. Then, about two years ago while I was away on a work-related trip, we had a power outage that bricked my hard drive and two years worth of data were lost. Yes, I had been doing backups, but I had missed some stuff. So it took a while to get things back on track. But, finally, we’re back.

This last week brought forth a lot of little nits and bugs – still working through them – but most of the major stuff is done. I’ll be posting more about the bugs/errors/problems and how I solved them just in case it can be helpful for other people facing the same issues. Also, I’ve added machine learning models to predict scores. I’d been meaning to do it for a while, but got the time to get it done this summer. I’ll make a separate post for this. Basically, the idea was to set up a framework for training models, doing inference, publishing the predictions, and tracking accuracy. The models themselves are fairly basic – the intention wasn’t to build the world’s best model out-of-the-gate – just to have an established process for publishing and tracking models. I’ve already started work on more advanced modelling – stay tuned for that.
